Session 27 – Finding your Voice, Leading for Change

August 16, 2022; 2:30 – 4:00 pm

Hosted by Lisa Hinz, Jenn Aranda, and Ellen Wolter Extension Educators at the Center for Community Vitality, University of Minnesota

The focus is on race and racism, although some of the dynamics show up across other forms of oppression in similar ways. Upon raising awareness about issues of race and racism, many individuals want to find ways to use their voices to interrupt hurtful language and behaviors. This session was offered with the goal of keeping relationships intact, while still addressing hurtful language and behaviors. There is no one way to do this right, but with practice we can find our voice and use it to live into our leadership better.
